Openvirt
Create Linux Virtual MachineCreate a Linux VM. First create the disk image which will be used for the virtual disk. Then create the VM and get it to boot from a Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server ISO image. Then install the OS exactly how you would on a physical server.
Create Windows Virtual MachineCreate a Windows VM. First create the disk image which will be used for the virtual disk. Then create the VM and get it to boot from a Windows Server 2008 R2 ISO image. Then install the OS exactly how you would on a physical server.
Clone Linux Virtual MachineThe cloning feature in action. Once the machine values have been entered, the actual cloning and modification only takes around 5 seconds. The machine is then ready to use. In this example we've created a clone from an Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server template. You'll notice the SSH keys are generated on first boot.
Migrate Virtual MachinesMigrating a group of virtual machines. The machines are live migrated from one host (xeon1) to another (xeon2). The network services on these virtual machines continue to run without any downtime.
iSCSI IntegrationIntegrating Openvirt with an iSCSI SAN. This takes just a few seconds.
System MonitoringMonitoring various aspects of the load placed on the host. This can be viewed over various time periods. |
